Alas, 2022 has arrived and Covid remains part of the human experience. What was thought to be a virus transient in nature has now garnered the attention of the whole wide world. Rich and poor, young and old. The virus has not discriminated in that it has not only affected peoples' physical and mental health, but it has impacted economies, both macro and micro, supply chains across the globe, and even the way workplaces function. We will feel the ripple effects of Covid for years to come. The mental health impact in particular will be huge for years to come as people continue to heal from ptsd, exacerbated mental health conditions, and just general fatigue (mental, physical, compassion) brought on by the novel coronavirus. Health care practitioners will continue updating their protocols just as the virus will update its own internal ios so to speak. Hospitalizations will wax and wane as facilities scramble to provide proper medical care and the staff to dispense it. Workers have leveraged their skills and have branched out choosing to work remotely or outside of their comfort zone. Together we can get through this pandemic, albeit, changed, with scars that will serve as a reminder of the battles we have fought, and the growth we have achieved collectively as humans.
